Corporate History

Tometich Engineering, Inc. was established and incorporated in April of 1992 by James Tometich, P.E. and operated out of Boone, Iowa. The firm was later expanded to include an office in Urbandale, Iowa to provide better service to the Des Moines area. In 2007, Urbandale became the consolidated home of Tometich Engineering, Inc.

The consolidated office has allowed Tometich Engineering, Inc. to provide competent and concise engineering service to central Iowa and the other states currently under registration. The team has experience in many areas of engineering with a focus on structural applications in commercial, educational, institutional, and industrial facilities.

Corporate Philsophy

The purpose of this corporation is to provide professional and competent engineering services. These services may be provided in the fields of structural, industrial, architectural and forensic engineering as well as consultation in other areas such as commercial and residential inspection, energy conservation, and CAD applications. These services shall be provided in a timely and concise manner utilizing the economy and accuracy of computer aided office automation. Upholding the engineering oath of safety will be the primary criteria, with accurate, succinct, and informative documents being the final goal.

Tometich Engineering, Inc.’s engineers have experience managing all projects from structural design and value engineering to failure investigations and expert witness testifying. Their expertise in many areas of engineering has allowed them to work on design projects large and small in many different construction sectors. They are dedicated to working with the client throughout all facets of the building process, from concept through construction.
