Urbandale Fire Station #41 Addition
The addition to the fire station is a mixture of steel and metal panel designed to maximize the needed space on a tight site plan. Adding additional sleeping quarters accomplished the primary focus.
A structural steel framing system was designed for the new addition and oriented to prevent additional load on the existing pre-engineered building. The entry included a thin profile canopy with a unique built-up column design.
